Well, I passed on the first try.

I couldn’t even get past the first test… and that was 21 years ago and I still haven’t gotten my first license.

I passed on the first try. Mike, after 3 try’s you need to buckle and clear your head. By the way, did you ask your dad how many times it took him?

Remember when Marcia Brady couldn’t pass her driving test until she imagined her examiner in his underwear?

“laugh me down the can”. Is this a popular phrase in Canada? I don’t think I have ever heard it before. Does it mean that John is going to laugh so hard at Michael it will cause him to be flushed down a toilet?

Bravo John! A comforting hand on the shoulder is EXACTLY what Mike needs at this point.

Good for you Liz for being a caring kind sister who didn’t laugh at him. Michael could learn a thing or two from his little sis.

Can anyone explain Mike’s statement, “He’s gonna laugh me down the can”? I don’t get it.

I passed the first try, and I hadn’t driven for six months ahead of taking the test. Wimps!

It all depends on the examiner

Aced the written and the driving first time. Mike did not get enough practice and probably not with someone not his parent. Parents are the worst driving instructors.

I did driving education in HS years before school Administrative cancelled, only difficult that I had was vision on eye test especially with my left eye, now electronic and numbers, I was allowed to pass with my better eye.

I passed the first time, as long as I promised I’d work on my parallel parking. Since I’d promised, I did it of course. Mind you it was about 5 years later, but I did work on it!

Of us four siblings, 3 of us passed on the first try. Our oldest sister passed on her third try, or so I hear.

Why would he lie to his parents about passing the test. He’s not going to try to drive without a license. And his parents will find out the truth when he has to take the test again.

All week you didn’t know Martha was going to drop a huge bombshell on you, Mike. Go a little easier on yourself.

Michael had a hard time getting a passing score. The examiner was being niggardly.

I bombed my first test too. Almost before I started. Almost hit the car next to me as I backed out of the parking spot.

I also passed on the first try. But being American unlike Mike, my test wasn’t run by George Soros.

I passed one the first time. When I called home to tell the people that half ass raised me to tell them I passed, their replay was “so? we put your dog to sleep this morning”
