Yes, I’m sure a “gas guzzler” mechanical beast will hold value much better than a near zero maintenance, muscle car performance (except for the noise), fill it up at home, EV.
The cartoon fails to notice that the technological trend toward electrical vehicles moves along. Should we go back to “faster horses” as Henry Ford asked?
Mercedes announced an electric vehicle recently, was Biden behind that, or perhaps, given Mercedes is a GERMAN company, perhaps it was really the market????
Electric may, one day, be feasible but they cannot replace fossil fuels yet. Until they can match the production of current means they need to be phased in with care. There is an old saying, “Don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater.”

Lots of Teslas out on the interstates, at least on I-5 between Portland and Seattle. More Teslas passed me than Porsches or mini-vans.

Wonder what the trade in value is on an EV that is ~3 years old? Just a guess but I imagine they will depreciate a lot faster than my gas guzzler.

Payne is an idiot. This is not just wrong, it’s dangerously wrong. Payne, please learn something before you open your silly mouth.

In most cases, electric cars are a much better alternative to gas cars. But not in all cases.
Also, electric cars are not “zero sin”. Taking the bus is better. Riding a bike or walking is even better than that.
