Easter Egger chickens, do really lay green eggs. So green eggs and ham, with a pink doughnut covered in sprinkles. Great breakfast! Oh! Now I’m hungry.
I’m hoping this is part of a week-long series based on donuts. These days, the only consistent series that Mr. Davis and his team do are Garfield’s birthday age jokes the week leading up to June 19th and Christmas gags during most of December.
With all this talk of foods that Garfield hasn’t had in a long time, anybody remember when he used to eat whole roasted chickens in the first few years of the strips? As I recall, Jon never let him eat them again from fear that he might possibly choke on the bones. And also, when was the last time we’ve seen Garfield eat any ferns?

Cat doesn’t touch the doughnuts, but if you leave any ham, bacon, sausage, turkey or chicken on the table or counter, it’s gone.
