Hay little Lisa, you left out the republicans digging up the track and raising the hurdle. Also, just like the other republicans you INSIST that anything you don’t personally get profit from is “unnecessary”.

The GQP has decided that infrastructure is only the things that their big business owners can make a profit from. And, of course, nothing that actually directly helps anybody else.

They’re as wrong as usual, which is very.

I think the TrumpubliQans are shortening “You Should Make America Great Again” to MAGA to refer to the destruction Trump caused and pushing it onto Biden, and to tell the Democrats that fixing the mess is their own responsibility.

The track was a ramp during the tRump years. It was talked up but never got down to doing anything.

When you look at how well austerity has “solved” problems in third-world nations [dictatorships], you can see why Lisa is so inspired by the “Republican” ideology.

If the package included more tax breaks for Billionaires, the GQP would already have it on Biden’s desk.

Reconciliation is the result when the Republicans refuse to participate in the governing process.

Infrastructure to Republicans includes giving $1.3Billion to a CT company to make Covid syringes. The plant doesn’t even exist. Of course that is not as bad as Solyndra, right? Because it is okay if Trump Does IT!

The GOP Leadershit is bound and determined to make America GRATE again and again and again.

The Biden infrastructure bill isn’t your typical fix the road/bridges bill. But, our infrastructure problem isn’t typical either. There are many more areas that need attending to if this nation is to be a world leader again and stop lagging behind the EU and China.

Ms. Benson understands that the Loser-in-Chief took care of all that American carnage ahead of schedule and under budget. Indeed, what else could possibly need investment?

So she’s saying the Infrastructure bill is garbage even though there is so much good stuff in it that will create jobs and repair crumbling infrastructure from roads to communications to energy. Classic right wing argument.

I just heard on the news that the Republicans are working on a counter proposal, about 1/4 the size to be spent over 5 years instead of 10, and limited to a narrower definition of infrastructure.

Fine, let’s have the discussion, but my question is where the heck have they been? They’ve been in control for 4 years, and did nothing except that tax cut.

It appears the only infrastructure republicans are interested in is oil pipe lines. To hell with crumbling bridges, water mains that make the water toxic, ancient sewer systems and water treatment plants, coastal flooding, failing levees, reservoirs drying up… Screw the enviroment, give them more oil and coal!
