I’m surprised the pigtails girl not only stood in place long enough to become part of the art piece at all like that, she has apparently chosen to continue to stay in place afterwards, despite a visible uncertainty about it.
So I never understood the historical connection – one of Columbus’s ships only came in May when it was raining? Maybe just as well that I don’t get it; you know – cancel culture and all… :-)
Reminds me of when I was decorating a wall of the children’s library—kids were supposed to want to pitch in but it wound up being my project, with which I got myopically compulsive. A big rainbow, and boxes of cut-up magazine photo pages separated into colors, which we could paste onto the picture like an overlapping mosaic. Nice effect, but ridiculously time consuming.

“Twin poney tail girl” is drawn quite a bit. The first time I noticed her she said “Ewwww! Wallace!”

I like the sheet of paper that’s fallen onto the kid at the water fountain. Nice touch.

Wallace had to have a coconspirator in order to stick up some of the papers. Or a stepladder.

Great art by both Wallace and Mr. Will Henry. A+. I bet both color outside the lines.
