Well, I could wear that button: I’ve been voting by mail for more than 10 years, usually about one election per year, on average, more or less. And oh yeah: We’ve done the studies. The number of people who vote more than once in any given election — in the whole state — can be counted on the fingers of one hand… and usually just the thumb.

And, oh yeah, about 4 times in 5, any cheating that gets caught: It’s someone voting GOP.

In 2016, a T**** supporter was arrested for double voting, once by mail and once in person.

In 2020, a man attempted to vote twice by requesting a mail-in ballot for his dead mother; also a T**** supporter.

OMG! Safest election ever according to the twice impeached treasonous sleazeweasel’s own investigators.

Republican denialism on the 2020 election mirrors the old (and apocryphal) story about Pauline Kael (film critic for the ultimate New York City elite mag, The New Yorker), who supposedly said “I can’t believe Nixon won. I don’t know anyone who voted for him.” Now it’s righties who cannot wrap their heads around the plain fact that Biden won fair and square because (thanks in part to ideological self-segregation) they do not know anyone who voted for him.

Yet the bulk of the fraud located is committed by GQP members/believers. Such projection by the right of their own illegal actions onto others.

Didn’t Republicans manage the key states that Trump lost and the judiciary decided no election fraud. I guess Mr. Gorrell just doesn’t like honest Americans.

I usually try not to comment when all I have to say repeats what has already been said, but it’s important to note that Gorrell is lying, so I will add my voice to the crowd. This is a totally shameful cartoon, and if Gorrell had an ounce of integrity he would never have drawn it. But he doesn’t.

I suspect there are some states that have allowed mail voting for at least 3 past elections… with nary a problem.

Thank the gods that Mr. Gorrell — possessing such a brilliant mind and a rich, nuanced understanding of all things political — has the moral courage to expose this nonexistent problem: an esoteric one, you could say, that resides in the minds of his fellow Republican propagandists. He should not be distracted by the fact that the US military has been using vote-by-mail since the Civil War, that places like Colorado, Hawaii, Oregon, Utah, and Washington vote almost entirely by mail, and 33 states and the District of Columbia having vote-by-mail as an option, all without any voter fraud problem. He has his master’s work to do and must be deeply thankful that he lives in a country that allows fools to draw cartoons.

It’s depressing to think that Gorrell is as benighted as Bill Barr, both of whom seem to be unaware that there are five states in which ALL balloting is by mail, and there has never been so much as a whiff of scandal.

I seem to remember Trumpo advising people who sent in absentee ballots to show up in person and vote again, “just to be sure”. I guess it’s a reasonable assumption was that these criminals would be voting for Trump.

We have been exclusively vote by mail in Oregon for decades. Every time I ask a conservative for step by step instructions on how you could cheat, they either change the subject or publicly display their profound ignorance of the subject.

Oregon has been voting by mail for two decades. One voter, one ballot. All tracked by barcode. Total incidents of fraud: less the ten. All address problems, except for the cases where GOP ballot counters were caught “correcting” ballots. In front of video cameras and they knew the cameras were there.
