Varvel’s gotten really good at illustrating “thoughts and prayers” hasn’t he. Too bad we can’t get his lords and masters to address all this as an actual problem instead of thinking of it all as a series of “oh, that’s too bad”.

I’d like to test a theory as to whether or not a person can be beaten senseless by their own thoughts and prayers.

I just can’t seem to run the experiment, because the only people I can find in the “thoughts and prayers” category are already senseless.

Yet another tragedy brought to us by a nation without common sense mental health system.

Not only have our politicians failed miserably in the gun control issue, they’ve failed to address mental health issues, too. When they started shutting down mental hospitals because they were considered to be inhumane, they were supposed to set up a network of halfway houses for the mentally ill. By and large, that never happened. So, a huge number of those patients became homeless. Middle and low-income families who have mentally ill relatives, have very few resources to help them, and so often, a tragedy of some sort occurs. Why hasn’t more been done to address this problem? For one thing, the mentally ill and their families don’t have powerful lobbyists who can bribe the legislators into doing something productive.

The crocodile tears of the left over cherry picked gun incidents are unbelievable. They could care less about these deaths except that it serves their political agenda. There was 585 black homicides in Chicago over the last year and 155 murders since January 1st. Where’s the outcry over that? Oh, right, doesn’t fit the narrative. But hey, defund the police in an already crime ridden area.

Yeah, yeah. You care so much about the victims that you’ll do absolutely nothing about gun control.

Wow, this was Indianapolis, I wonder if the next one will be Varvels mega church, or the Walmart he shops at. Guns Guns Guns, I think that someone like Varvel or any of the “2nd amendment” people would greatly benefit from experiencing a real live active shooter massacre, then they’d stop with the “thoughts and prayers”, and stupid, idiotic vapid cartoons like the one above, and we’d have real change.
