That sounds like me. Even the Grass Grows Where I don’t want it and not where I do want it

My method is much more efficient. I plant nothing.

But the raccoon specifically asked for tomatoes.

Throw old tomatoes in the leaf pile and squirrels will plant them everywhere.

I buried some coins in my backyard and I’m still waiting…(just kidding all you scavenger hunters!)

I cringe at the bare feet and sandals. Here they’d be targets for fire ants. If all my neighbors were as diligent as I in getting rid of them that might not be the case and we could enjoy our lawns, but alas it seems the neighbors have Hindu leanings.

My wife read that planting some flower seeds she had in a potato would make the flower grow well, as you would guess all we ended up with were a lot of potatoes

I think she’s going to plant him and see if a better version will pop up.

Whenever my late wife and I would “try” to garden there would seem to be a few of something popping up that we didn’t plant. I would happen with tomato plants mostly ones we hadn’t planted in awhile but also happened once with asparagus when the bunnies made a nest and scattered the plants everywhere else. Also had some squash pop up from the squirrels taking small ones before I could pick them.

We have had considerable success with a wide variety of things we have planted, and also accept useful volunteers. (Tomatoes are frequent volunteers, in addition to the many we intentionally plant..) :)

This is how I garden anyway.
