Ah, yes. We got to see one of Nate’s Chester drawings! Lincoln Pierce doesn’t know how to draw Chester, and keeps getting new ideas of him. So I’m just confused on what Chester looks like. And I didn’t get this strip. Can anyone explain it to me please? Thanks and have a great day!

I think Nate learned learnt his lesson about poetry on the field a few years ago, when he got benched for offensive poetry. This time he’s ordering pizza in the middle of a ball game! XD

ULTRA NATE AND THE COVER-UP: PART 2

Mrs. Godfrey has just announced a project involving Ultra Nate in front of her class, including Nate, Ultra Nate’s secret identity. Nate’s heart starts to beat quicker as she announces more about the project.

Mrs. Godfrey: You may be asking why Ultra Nate is in our project, but I’ll tell you why. Basically, ever since he fought that creature in Washington, I had the idea of doing a project to all of you to try and figure out Ultra Nate’s secret identity. And that’s exactly what we’ll be doing throughout the week.

Nate gulps, afraid of what she’ll say next. He does not want himself revealed as Ultra Nate. He holds his breath and tries to calm down.

Mrs. Godfrey: Who knows who Ultra Nate could be? It might be someone from our state, possibly even from our neighborhood.

Nate is running out of breath. He’s really struggling not to say anything that could burst his bubble.

Mrs. Godfrey: Heck, one of you might as well be Ultra Nate!

Nate runs out of breath, and exhales very loudly, causing everybody in the classroom to look at him, including Mrs. Godfrey, who is giving him a mean look. Nate slithers down to his seat.

Nate: Um… carry on! Heh.

Mrs. Godfrey: So… anyway, you will have the option to work as a group of three on this. If you figure out Ultra Nate’s secret identity, you will have the choice for a free scholarship to Harvard…

Gina: YES!

Mrs. Godfrey: …or a pizza party with the toppings of your choice!

I think yelling at the batter is just a way of making kids think they are participating, even though the coach only cares about the pitcher and that one kid who can hit home runs.

BIG NATE AND THE BET: Part 26

The song soon finished, and Nate and Dee Dee’s singing turned to laughter. “Ah man, that was the most fun I’ve had in weeks!” Nate said. “Hey, at least we weren’t bad!” Dee Dee said. “We make a good pair.” “Yeah, I guess we do.” Nate said with a grin. Dee Dee’s smile made Nate feel ecstatic on the inside. He couldn’t describe this feeling, but whenever he was Dee Dee he was happy. Mostly. “What is wrong with me?” Nate thought, “We’re just friends. I can’t be falling in LOVE with her, can I?” Nate began to feel a little nervous.

“Better not say anything.” Nate thought to himself. “She still thinks of me as a friend. At least, I think she thinks of me as a friend. Hard to tell.” Nate’s stomach began to rumble. “Man,” he said, “all that karaoke made me hungry! Got anything good to eat, Dee Dee?” Dee Dee motioned towards the kitchen, “Step into Chef Dee Dee’s five-star restaurant for a bite to eat! You won’t be disappointed!”

They walked into the kitchen together. Meanwhile, outside, Randy stopped recording the events that have already unfolded. “Just need a little more dirt, and the next phase of my plan can start!” He snuck around to the kitchen window and peered inside. What he saw no one would have believed could have happened. Dee Dee was putting on a chef’s hat and apron, with Nate beside her also dressed in ridiculous getup.

“What’s on the menu, Chef Dee Dee?” Nate said with a smile. Dee Dee replied with, “Pizza with every topping we can cram into it!” Nate began to drool with the image of a pizza with every topping on it, steaming and the smell of gooey cheese wafting the air. Nate snapped out of his food fantasy when he realized Dee Dee was talking again. “Got it Nate?” “Uh…” Nate began, “I think I got it, but just in case, run that whole thing by me again I wasn’t listening.” Dee Dee shook her head with a smile. “Only you, Nate. Okay, here’s what we do first…”
