An All Star game. Almost as big a deal as a high-school football game in Texas. As for voting rights, they cannot be restored by the voters, it’s a catch 22. The courts must intervene, and scant help there, either.
Fear of change is a strong motivator. Whether the Ga “Republicans” like it or not the future population demographics do not favor their continued existence as a mostly white entitled political party … it’s going to be adapt or die as no amount of election manipulation will work for much longer.
- “I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave-owners will be able to sit down together at a table of brotherhood.”
- “No, they bloody won’t. That would lead to fraud!”
Restricting voter rights is contagious, numerous state legislatures besides GA are in the process of such laws. Surprisingly, all of them are Republican … /s
I think more people need to read the bill, take a deep breath and tell the baseballcommissioner he was wrong, way off base, struck out and is a foul ball!!!
The courts have had to step in to toss out voter suppression laws here in Missouri on more than one occasion. Problem is, our boozed-up bribe-taking legislators are taking another swing at it………
You are, as a matter of objective reality, WRONG. The point of the collection of idiocies in the new law is precisely and exactly to suppress the votes of people who (in the eyes of the people who passed the law) are more likely to vote Democratic than to vote Republican. (The fact that some Blacks are like Herman Edwards and some browns are like Rafael Cruz doesn’t matter in the minds of the people passing these anti-Democratic voting laws.
Dang, that was supposed to be a reply to the nonsense spouted by MuddyUSA but it ended up in the wrong spot. (Don’t even get me STARTED about the nonsense spouted by Montana Swill!)

MLB moves (not cancels) the All-Star Game. The Republican Party wants to cancel democracy. Hardly equivalent.
