They tried Gorgo with Hamlet, but instead of killing King Duncan… he ate the actor. (Although no deaths were recorded, Barney the dinosaur would not do much better in his dramatic debut as Richard III. )
…so Gorgo went on to play Gorillas in The Mist…no lines to memorize, except he got it down pat to say, whooo whooo whooo whooo and jump around a few times.
Gorgo’s poor young co-star seems to have a crush on him. I hope he remembers that, though physically mature, she is a minor, and doesn’t drag over any state lines.
Let ‘em quit. I hear Goom, the Thing from Planet X, is hot material now and should get a better box-office draw. And if he ain’t available, there’s always Fin Fang Foom!
I have to comment on how this is another one of those weird pairings of Joe Sinnott and Vince Colletta, who were both in their heyday inking 1060s Marvel comics. Their inking skills are just light-years apart.

Here’s the link to the original vintage art and text. (Plus check out the fan-written song parodies that go with it.)

The actor playing Kodos/Kang is simply adapting to the usual 15+ second delay on the vocal tract sync.

Gorgo was just protecting the kid, remember. In the movie anyway.

Did you listen to the three part series on Planet Money where they went looking for an old, little known superhero to revive?

Gorgo’s problem was that he never rated maser cannons from the army. A pity his film was made before 1966.

“But what’s my motivation for this scene?
And is it ‘RRaaauughhh’, ‘RRAAAuughhh’, or ‘rraaaUUGHHH’?"

I thought the line would’ve been, “Kiss me, you fool”

To be fair, that is hard to say with all the tentacles in front of your mouth, at least in my experience.
