Isn’t deliberately spreading a highly infectious lethal respiratory disease robbing freedom from those you infect by not heeding the best-known experts’ advice?

Using the freedom cry, do away with masks in the surgical suite and dentist office. Surely medical professionals deserve freedom of choice, too. Right?

A contentious troll, assuming it was the target of a previous comment, just tried to bait me into a direct reply. Will I fall for it? Not this time.

Just set up a collection box. On it say, “Donate here to the Save America PAC and you don’t have to wear a mask.” Of course, you don’t have to actually give the money to the Donald J. Trump Golf Fund; pocket it for yourself. Don’t worry about it. If someone believes Trump, they’ll believe anything.

Unfortunately, since you are collecting cash, you can’t make it an automatically recurring donation.

I’ve had my shots, and I am probably now immune. I still wear a mask, out of respect for others, that still need to wear masks. Is that hard to understand?

I say again, I wear my mask for the same reason I drink my morning coffee; for your protection more than my own.

A friend said that we weren’t born with masks on so wearing them is unnatural. I said we weren’t born with clothes on either, but I sure hope everyone wears them.

Private businesses can absolutely require masks, just as they can require shirts and shoes. Some require additional PPE: I went with my mom to shop for a new granite countertop, and the showroom required we wear closed-toe shoes and hardhats to go into their warehouse and actually pick out the specific granite slab they were going to cut for her. That’s totally reasonable. Anyone should be able to comply with that.

Around here, the vast majority of shops are even offering masks free of charge to guests who don’t have one, so it’s not really a hardship. Autistic daughter is doing just fine once we found a mask design that suited her sensory issues.
