I expect & hope that will happen when Virginia McCaskey finally dies, her grandchildren want to cash out & the Bears get sold to someone who wants to put a winning team on the field, instead of just collecting the millions the team brings in every year.

I knew someone in San Diego who followed the Chargers closely from childhood. She maintained that Alex Spanos was a very good owner for the team but that Dean was awful. Her opinion but I get the feeling she isn’t alone.

Kind of a dubious choice to move a team out of the eight-largest city in the US, where they had the sports entertainment dollar pretty much all to themselves once the Padres season ended, to a city that had already lost the Dons, Rams and Raiders and play a stadium where they’re renters with little to no leverage. Well played, Dean.

My reading of the article is she wants them to sell only the part held by the endowment. It is in the red something like $200+ million and can’t pay the charities its supposed to be supporting unless they borrow money. So selling it allows it to stand on its own.
