I’ve pretty much decided that baseball was invented so jocks would have an excuse not to go to work for a few hours and the rest of us could dodge work by watching them. I love baseball season.
Just because someone is standing up doesn’t mean they are paying attention. In San Francisco, as a pedestrian, I was nearly run down several times by “zonked out” drivers who were staring right at me as I crossed the street.
