The TRUE crisis is in the Fox-NOT-News propaganda machine and the republican party obstructionists.

So, on the one hand we have a seriously BIG problem that will cripple our economy until it’s dealt with, but it will cost a lot because nobody has done anything about it for more than a decade. But if we do invest that way, society will get $2.00 back for every $1.00 that’s spent (says S&P). Naturally, the GOP will oppose this as hard as they possibly can!

On the other hand, we have a real problem that is impacting several thousand people (less than 1/10 of 1% of the number affected by the first one). It will cost a quite reasonable amount to deal with, and we’ll get it under control without a special spending bill, and probably within the next 6 weeks to 6 months. Naturally, the GO will oppose this as hard as they possibly can!

In fact, if you look at recent history, I believe it’s possible to simplify the whole discussion to: “The GOP will oppose anything a Democrat tries to do, as hard as they possibly can!

Meanwhile, Kelley et al will run up stupid ’toons such as this one that blame the Dems for not doing better in the face of 100% opposition from the opposition party. And I use the word thoughtfully.

Kelley is unintentionally on to something here.

As a conservative, he is well aware that it is far, far more effective to just come up with the most attractive lie you can and feed that to the American voters.

If Biden wants to pass the infrastructure plan, he should just call it something like his “Tax Cuts for CEO’s and Raises for Senators” plan.

Republicans have no idea how to serve the American people, but they sure as hell know how to bait and switch!

“Citizen’s United”? “Right to work”? Give me a break! Those measures are the exact opposite of their names!

It’s the same thing I would say to Bernie Sanders or anyone else who wastes their breath trying to educate voters about what “Democratic Socialism” really is.

Forget trying to explain it! Just write up a plan to give every American paid healthcare and education and call it something like “Bigger Monster Trucks and Guns for Everyone”.

By the time they realize they’ve been tricked, it will be too late and they will all have healthcare coverage and the education of all their children will have been paid for! Muhuhahahahahahahaha!!!!

Don’t we need the immigrants to do the building of the infrastructure? How do you expect the construction companies to make a huge profit paying union wages. Hire the illegal immigrants at half the price. Isn’t that what donnie does at his properties, uf he pays them at all.

How about helping all of our fellow North Americans and South Americans make a good living wage. They don’t want to move and leave their family. They want a good living. If North America and South America could work well together and be prosperous and strong the America’s would conceivably be largest economic trading block in the world. We would also be pretty darned safe from attack if we all worked together.Enough of its all about me government. Make it about it’s all about we.

“People”, even the majority of Republicans, are already sold on Biden’s infrastructure plan, just as they broadly supported his COVID relief plan. It’s only in the alternative universe populated by Republican politicians and cartoonists that these programs are unpopular because they might work. Which is also why they opposed Obamacare.

Expose the obstructionists.. by name, from the bully pulpit. Point out their hypocrisies.. Don’t let Fox News and its kind go unchallenged with their innuendo.

That’s the same guy who has to inform biden that his dog bit another person. Oh, and apparently somebody pooped near the WH Diplomatic Room. I think it was Joe, but there were no witnesses and he blamed the dogs. :P

Nothing is ever done until a disaster, then just enough to make the public think all is well until it happens again, by this time the the first incident has been forgotten, therefore nothing ever gets the attention it needs!

Over 70% of the citizens already support infrastructure spending, so you don’t need to try to sell it very hard. But you do need to point out how it will be paid for, and who is opposing it despite its popularity…

    Republicans are worse than worthless.

McConnell says Republicans will ‘fight’ Biden plan

US Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said Thursday he would “fight (Democrats) every step of the way” on Joe Biden’s $2 trillion infrastructure plan — a hurdle for the president’s party as they hold only a slim majority in the chamber.

Winners make policy losers can go home said Mitch.
