I hear some say, “Stick in your ass”. I say “Stick it anywhere, just as long as it works!”. Common sense is a rare but much needed commodity.

I was going to go get my first professional haircut in over a year, so I emailed my hair stylist. I wanted to see if she had been vaccinated yet, and she said that she’s too scared to get it. This is a person who comes in contact with people all day every day, and she has a fairly large clientele of elderly women. If anyone should get vaccinated, she should be near the top of the list. I tried to gently suggest that the majority of people have little to no side effects, and I also told her that I would have to wait quite a bit longer before I would feel safe going to her. I’m fully vaccinated, but I don’t want to take the chance of getting even a mild case of it.

Yes some people even like to advertise that they commit crimes:

“I Was There, Washington, D.C., January 6, 2021.”— T-shirt Garret Miller was wearing when police came to his Dallas home to arrest him for his actions during attack on Capitol

Republican men do not have common sense.

GOP Men Are Most Likely To Say They’ll Refuse COVID-19 Vaccine

Experts Say Lack Of Advocacy For Vaccines By Former President Donald Trump Is Likely Influencing Public Opinion

A national poll by Marist College with NPR and PBS NewsHour last week found a “huge partisan divide” in attitudes toward the vaccine, said pollster Lee Miringoff, and one that’s most pronounced among men.

Among all adults, 45 percent said they “will” get vaccinated and 22 percent said they already have; 30 percent said they would not get vaccinated. 47 percent of those who said they voted for Republican former President Donald Trump in November said they would not be vaccinated.

Republican men were the most likely to say they’d refuse: 49 percent of them said they will not get vaccinated, compared to only 30 percent who said they would and 20 percent who said they already had.

Common sense appears to be uncommon… would be great if we really could inject it into people, but the alt-rights would scream about microchips…

ferddo says, “I’ve found it interesting that many elderly folks will take the vaccine – even if they fear it because of their steady diet of Fox News – because they will do what they’re told to do… must be why entities like Fox prey on them…”

I am elderly and I took the vaccine so I would not catch the virus. I am one of Einsteins’ insane folks, I keep explaining how science does not care about beliefs, only truths and expect the ignorant to understand this time.

No, they are afraid to understand and so never will. Let them die, they are worse than useless, they cause damage to that which is good.

Well, today, the CDC reported new data that shows that under real world conditions, not just in a lab, not just extrapolating from tiny numbers of test subjects but looking at thousands of front line health workers and essential workers who have gotten vaccinated and who have since been doing their jobs and living in a real world, not only are the vaccines for those folks, thousands of them, keeping those people from getting sick from COVID themselves, those vaccines are also highly effective at preventing those people from getting infected, even with non-symptomatic infection. And if you are not infected, you can`t give it to anybody else.

And I know this sounds like an incremental piece of news, but sit on this for a second enough to absorb what this means, right? What this means is that we can get there with vaccines. We can end this thing.

It means that instead of a vaccine being able — excuse me, it means instead of the virus being able to hop from person to person to person to person, spreading and spreading, sickening some of them but not all of them, and the ones it doesn`t sicken don`t know they have it and they give it to mere poem because they didn`t recognize, right? Instead of the virus being able to hop from person to person to person, potentially mutating and becoming more virulent and drug resistant along the way, now we know that the vaccines work well enough that the virus stops with every vaccinated person.

A vaccinated person gets exposed to the virus. The virus does not infect them. The virus cannot then use that person to go anywhere else. It cannot use a vaccinated person as a host to get more people.

That means the vaccines will get us to the end of this. If we just go fast enough to get the whole population vaccinated. It`s huge news.

There is nothing more uncommon than common sense.
