I imagine that a lot of the people would have loved to see the Fink burn in effigy.

I figured the King would be in the basket giving a speech. That much hot air should have kept it aloft for quite a while with no risk of fire.

At U of I Champagne-Urbana in the 70’s, Garcia’s Flying Tomato Brothers Pizza had a giant red tomato balloon drifting over campus occasionally. I miss their Gut-Buster pizza slices!
