Worth watching: Seaspiracy on Netflix. It points out many of the evils hurting our oceans and the creatures in them. The worst: we keep dumping tons of plastics into the ocean every day, fishermen cut the fins off sharks and dump them back into the ocean to die slowly. What can we do? Stop buying one-use plastic anything, including bottles. Switch from canned beer or sodas to bottled ones and recycle the bottles. A six-pack in cardboard container is better because the cardboard is biodegradable. Stop eating seafood. Plant based alternatives are available now. Try them. They taste great!
My wife still doesn’t get the reason I always cut the rings into small pieces before I discard them. Has anyone found a way to dispose of the plastic pieces? They wind up in the landfill, or even worse in the ocean. They don’t recycle this type of plastic in my area.

Petroleum turned into plastic, 100 times the threat to the planet than the gas in my car.

Now you’re catching on. Violence, as a way of expressing your “views” (or purely for the sake of personal gain) is condoned by some.

I think it’t terrible that they cut off a turtle’s neck to make clothing.

Somehow ‘Turtlenado’ doesn’t strike the same note of dread.
