TBF I’m no fan of voting by mail either. It seems a stepping stone to something better, not an end goal in itself.

I should mention this is for very narrow technical reasons, not because of some conspiracy theory.

In times of covid it makes sense not to want to stand in a long line of people, many of whom refuse to wear masks.

Some folks are clueless. I don’t step out in front of speeding cars because I know the results will be bad, not because I fear cars. I don’t jump out of planes without a parachute because I know the results will be bad, not because I fear flying. I wear a mask, social distance, and get vaccinated because if I don’t, the results will be bad (maybe not for me, but down the line, for someone). I don’t actually feel any fear of Covid, I just use common sense.
