Maybe the Old Comics Home is just around the bend. Walt decides that it would be a lot easier to go there than to go back home.

If the inevitable is indeed inevitable, then a nice, long celebration of Walt is definitely in order first. After all, he is for all practical purposes the foundation of the strip itself.

Thank you so much for Brenda. Our local newspaper did not carry it when I was young and I could only read it when visiting an aunt and uncle who always got the NY Sunday News.
