Moan Jurray one time I survived a 14,5001 foot drop after landing on a mound of fire ants.

The head researcher of the Australian National Insect Collection, Bryan Lessard, officially naked a horsefly scaptia (plinthina) beyonceae.

May the Lord be with you.

Pistol dueling (with wax bullets) used to be an Olympic sport. I think they ought to bring it back

Joan Murray is quite the gal surviving fire ants… unlike Ernest P. Worrell during a Sprite picnic.

In the early 1980s, when “Paintball” was still called the “Survival Game” and used single shot pistols. Dueling was a popular variant of the game.

Wax Bullet Dueling couldn’t have been TOO popular if none of us have ever heard of it before. Somebody’s Great Uncle Frederick would’ve had stories about it.

I remember that. And the quote from fire ant Inky Bzt-Bzzt Walker, was, “She fell for me!”

Take care, may veteran Fire Truck Hook and Ladder Driver Mike Ford be with you, and gesundheit.

In the middle of the 19th century, Robert-Houdin was asked to use illusion to intimidate those who might revolt against French rule. In one illusion, a bullet was marked. He loaded a gun, and had someone shoot at him. He caught the bullet in his teeth. Taking the gun, he reloaded it and fired at a man’s shadow. A red spot appeared. Robert-Houdin said that because he had drawn blood from the shadow, he had power over the man.

When Robert-Houdin loaded the gun, he palmed the marked bullet and switched it with a wax bullet, which was vaporized when the gun fired. For the second illusion, he loaded the gun with another wax bullet, which had red liquid in the center.
