If only!!

After so much sacrifice in the 20th century to find ourselves stuck in the same mud is beyond sad.

If only someone could develop a vaccine that works on racism.

The right to vote was better protected, until the far right conservative Catholic Supreme Court decided we didn’t need our rights protected. any more.

The right to vote as interpreted by the Right. How could this NOT be right, right?

We have no business preaching democracy and fair elections around the world.

^ Yet efforts are being made to increase the obstruction to being able to vote.

Very powerful strip, Mr. Deering, thank you. A horrible murder but it did result in the smashing of the Klan in the state. Too bad it keeps on creeping back in.

Something we need, but probably won’t get, is a requirement that there be NO “cleansing” of the voter rolls less than two months before an election, that anyone removed from the rolls be notified Immediately, with an explanation of why, and an easy way to challenge it. Some voting “officials” remove people at the last moment, with the flimsiest excuse (“somebody with a similar name lives somewhere else, so this registration must be wrong”) and without notifying the person removed, so they don’t know about it until they go to vote, and are refused.

Prove I voted more than once.

Until you can prove something there is no crime. You’re simply a loud mouthed facist bent on voter suppression.

If I asked you to prove that you were an American citizen before I would allow you to buy a gun you would have a stroke. But you assume everyone voting differently than you is illegal.

This is maddening to me, and I don’t even live near the area, nor do I have trouble voting. It is PAST time to pass that new voting rights act. At least 50 years past…
