It’s a problem for sure. Crisis? I’d call it kind of a mid-level problem so far. FEMA’s been sent in, which should help some.

In this case the baton has been passed from administration to administration for decades. On the positive side Trump’s mishandling of it may finally have been the final straw so that comprehensive immigration reform finally gets done. Everyone agrees it needs to get done.

This is an issue where the Democrats could achieve something like they did with the Covid Relief bill: pass important legislation supported by most Americans even without the support of any GOP lawmakers.

On a side note, the way things are going now, the GOP is moving quickly to make itself completely irrelevant. They have gotten so extreme that even many people on the right are realising what a disaster and how inhumane they are. It is a trend I wholeheartedly welcome.

No worries, Biden is hiring qualified people to defuse the situation.
