@jantze That is a fun fact!

So true about keeping debt going over generations!

I paid my college tuition in the late 70’s with summer jobs, barely, but I managed, and I’ve been voting ever since for anyone who says they’ll fund education and not put it all on the backs of our kids just trying to get started. Raise my taxes. I’m middle class but I’m one of the ones who can afford to pay back for what we were given.

Ah, the great Circle of Debt.

I graduated with no debt (at the time, NYC unis were tuition-free) and I am fortunate enough that I could stake my kids to an undergrad education so they could focus on their drinking, I mean, studies.
