The Rump administration ripped children from their parents, locked them up, and didn’t bother to keep track of them after.

So Rall believes that unaccompanied kids taken into custody at the border should be . . . dumped on the streets of the nearest city? Congrats, Teddy, you’ve won the the first Worst-Idea-Than-Trump’s of 2021!

Maybe, if there were a normal transition period, he could have planned ahead. But that’s Biden’s fault. How’s that impeachment going?

This is not a Biden leadership failure no matter how hard you try to spin it, Ted.

If this is constructive criticism, then how would we humanely correct the problem in a way that would not endanger the children?

Had you bothered to pay attention to events between November 4, 2020 and January 19, 2021, the incoming Biden Administration was given no access to any government facility, hence unable to properly plan. You might also take into account a mistaken sense of spontaneity by migrants that Trump being gone that the border would be open. Yeah it’s a mess, but the Biden administration, unlike the previous regime is trying to meet the challenge. So tell us Theodore, WWBD?

TrumpCo’s failure to cooperate in transition is no excuse. Example scenario:

(Biden to subordinate) You’re tasked with making sure unaccompanied minors don’t end up in cages or other unsuitable situations. I expect you to hit the ground running on Day Zero.

(Subordinate) But Trump isn’t cooperating.

(Biden) So go talk to the press who reported on the cages. You have almost 3 months to get it done. Size the problem. Identify resources. Just be damned sure you’re ready to move on it on Day Zero, no excuses. Get moving NOW!

So nothing’s changed!… Actually, there has been a change!… For the worse!!!!

Planning ahead? Dang, another major problem that Trump left behind that people are mad at Biden for not fixing on Day 1…

Under Biden children are not taken from their mothers nor are any minors put in cages.

Mr. Rall makes a good point: All the unaccompanied minors should be transported to Mar-a-Lago. Of course, all this must happen in real time. What Mr. Rall wants is that Mr. Biden should have begun building new facilities and staffing up …… uh? When? What should have been pushed back in order to to make room for this project? I do not have an answer for my question, but I am pretty sure that President Biden made the right choice to put the pandemic program first.

It hasn’t even been two months yet. But he’s working to change it. Some kids have been reunited with their parents. Do you really think St. Bernie could have done this faster? The orange colon polyp messed everything up. It’s not as if you snap your fingers and it’s suddenly OK.

Cages have been removed. Contractors have been fired. Medical care is now given routinely. Searches are underway to find the parents. How would you handle this differently?

“Because the Biden administration failed to plan ahead” is wonderful hindsight. Our current president has his plate full with plenty of other issues, mostly caused by Republican intransigence and incompetence.

For T****, leaving children to rot in dog cages was policy; for Biden, using holding facilities as short term (a few days to a week), temporary way-point is a reluctantly used necessity.

But Rall is too dishonest to admit that distinction.

Correct and others have been incarcerated for longer than the 72 hours limit.

It amazes me that Christians, represented by Conservative Republicans never seem to have read their “Holy Book”. Jesus said something like, “whosoever welcomes a child in my name, welcomes me.”. He’s got several things to say about protecting children.I think that would cover getting your children vaccinated against any diseases.
