Remember the FAR SIDE cartoon where a gorilla put his hand under his armpit and another one said “Why can’t you just beat your chest like other gorillas?”
She better have a good second half of the story as to why her husband is responsible because right now, I see the guide having his own gun. So unless his rifle is a .22, the guide certainly had means to defend himself.
Bolgani does not appreciate his meal being interrupted by armed white savages looking for some free sandwiches. June has finally calmed down by telling this soon-to-be bloody tale with her paramour being torn in half, and bearers deserted. Who’s left to schlep around her Louis Vuitton luggage, certainly not “Mr. Hershey Squirts” and beat-down impotent hubby.
From the first panel, it appears that June is quite far away from the gorilla as she is about to hide in the bushes and yet she is able to see Bolgani’s nostrils dilate. As flashdrive said, it’s like she was on his lap rather than some distance away hiding in the bushes. In the last panel, Lever seems astonished that the gorilla is acting aggressively. How did he think the gorilla was going to react as they advanced towards it? Anyway, on with the show!

Why those male chauvinists. They told her to go hide in the bushes. They shoulda let her take on the Gorilla alone.

Them pesky hyoomans. They never lets us creatures enjoy our time in the jungles.

The gorilla was just making a threat display to chase off the pesky intruders, and had no intention of violence if they went away.

It looks like the expert guide’s shot might go a little high. Unless he was stalking a parrot.

It’s a shame the ink slinger for this arc didn’t know that gorillas have very short legs on comparison to their arms.

The gorilla spun about and saw a pale bumpy human with blond hair. It was the most hideous beast he’d ever seen.
