Yes Betty, I’m sure you still do that laundry by beating it on a stone down by the river, right? Or like my Mother did, in the early 50s, with a wash tub and washboard?

Oh Betty——-The washer and dryer do all the real work. So you have to fold? Poor baby. And think about dishwashers and vacuum cleaners. Seems to me they took care of us ladies first.

The assumption that men never help with housework is no longer valid. With both partners almost required to have a job just to make ends meet, a greater number of men are helping with housework. They need to just to get it done.

I suspect you could train a Boston Electronics mini-cheetah to do laundry, although folding items with only one gripper would be tricky.

Engineered by men, who can afford to buy them, and could have afforded to hire other people to do the work.

Betty, I’ll bet there are some women engineers working on a Jetson’s Rosie the robot.

During the summer, Hubby is in charge of the lawn, and I take care of the inside, but in the winter – or if we have company – it’s a fifty-fifty deal. We have slightly over two acres, which is practically a full-time job, so I never ask him to help with the inside.

One of the founders of Neato Robotics, a Roomba imitator, and Dishcraft Robotics, a manufacturer of robotically controlled industrial dishwashers, now selling time on the machines because nobody would buy one, is a woman. An art major no less.
