Well, he just lost his championship to the big ape.

Clearly the ape was framed and escaped to track down the real killer.

Tarzan doesn’t know about reporters? The ape must have been watching cartoons about Yogi Bear stealing picnic baskets which gave him ideas.

International headlines? CBC is asking questions! CBC is Canada’s national broadcaster and it’s surprising they would be covering a death in the U.S. even if it did involve an ape.

Tarzan’s New York Adventure (1942) & Tarzan in Manhattan (1989). Think I’ll watch the first one today—Maureen O’Hara!

At this point, Tarzan was educated enough to know who a reporter was.

this whole episode has some good messages: circuses often mistreat animals, big animals shouldn’t be caged anyway, and animals are more sensitive and intelligent than we give them credit for, especially the great apes. The ape, of course, isn’t likely to have killed anyone. Tarzan will figure out who did it, I would guess.

I’d love to see Tarzan take on some of today’s African poachers and the creeps who shoot “big game” animals for so-called “sport”. Be fine with me if he took them down by breaking their necks.

C’mon, Greystoke! Sharpen up those PR skills! Your ape buddy is depending on you to clear his name! And pretty, pesky Celia will just keep on getting in the way. It’s what “they” (reporters) do….
