FACT – there are windfarms in Antarctica. Cold isn’t a problem if something is built properly.

FACT – Texas’ power predominantly comes from natural gas, not wind. The recent problems was due to natural gas providing drastically less energy than expected.

FACT – Payne’s comic is misleading and blatantly wrong (as usual)

I see that Stupid Henry Payne is trying to push that vastly debunked lie. How stupid is he to try and push it a week after it was debunked? Pretty stupid, if you ask me. But then, he wouldn’t be known as Stupid Henry Payne otherwise.

From what I understand, if the turbines had been winterized, this wouldn’t have happened.

Sure, it’s wind turbines’ fault that they were not winterized… and it’s wind turbines’ fault that there was such a wide power outage despite only being expected to provide 7% of the power…

“And they say the noise causes cancer. You tell me that one (makes whirring noise mimicking a turbine.” So said our former fearless leader. The GQP folks thought trump would like them for claiming the catastrophe was wind power’s fault.

And this would be why people think Republicans are mindless propagandists. How did that natural gas production do during the freeze? As a conservative, I beg you to please stop embarrassing me.

What would be truly surprising would be a Payne cartoon that doesn’t LIE.

Of course, that would get you thrown out of the Party Of Trump.

Trump Disciples, like Payne, are required to LIE about every issue.

Payne isn’t actually ignorant. He loves cars with internal combustion engines. "Vroom! Vroom! probably sexually excites him. He can’t get that sound with an electric vehicle, so he must support the oil industry with all his heart. If that means lying, no problem, eh Henry?

But lies like this are so transparent, that it is clear he has no shame.

The fact that burning oil, which is in limited supply and might be needed for other purposes escapes people like Henry. Wait until he has to buy gasoline that started out as coal. The Germans, in WW2, had to do that. A measure most desperate.

Wind power works fine in Iceland and Norway. Texas power companies went cheap with wind just as they did with natural gas production. They protected neither from the cold they hoped would never come. They only had ten years of repeated warnings.

Wind farms are generating just fine here in Illinois all winter. Most of the time when you see any not moving, they were shut down as there was no demand for their energy at that time.

Payne is from Michigan. He should know better “Michigan ranks among the top 15 states in the nation in electricity generation from wind. Renewable energy resources are used to generate about 8% of Michigan’s electricity. Most of the state’s renewable electricity generation comes from wind.”

Wind power that only provided 10% of power to the overall grid is responsible for the failure of the other 90% provided by fossil fuels in the leading fossil fuel state in America. This Right Wing argument is hilarious.

Read a little Henry. Do some research for yourself, rather than simply slavishly repeating what your idols tell you. Change the channel on your TV. Tune into some other station on your radio. ‘Google’ it. I did. Here are two items for your edification: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-56085733https://www.reuters.com/article/uk-factcheck-texas-wind-turbines-explain-idUSKBN2AJ2EI

To redirect what somebody once said about Richard Brinsley Sheridan:

Payne is dull, naturally dull, but he must have practiced to become what we see today, for such an excess of stupidity is not found in Nature.

The parents of 506 separated migrant children still haven’t been found, however. Lawyers say the parents of 322 of them were likely to have been deported.

The crisis wasn’t due to where the power came from, it was due to avoiding spending the money to winterize the electrical plants. Wind, gas AND oil plants froze — if just the wind farms froze Texas still would have had about 75% of their power. Political cartoons lambasting Biden and/or his policies are fair game. However, this isn’t about political policy, it is assigning blame to promote a political agenda and/or avoid blame for the suffering. Political cartoons being political are often partisan and that’s ok, but they are only funny if they are based on TRUTH. This is not.
