It’s nice to see Charlie showing some spine.

Imagine Peppermint Patty in the (female) major leagues and beans the batters just for crowding the plate.

Panel 4 kind of looks like a Big Nate type of flip. Lincoln Peirce was inspired heavily by Peanuts so this probably is where he got that idea.

Charlie’s decision was a bit premature. He got his first man/dog on first base. It is probably the only base runner Charlie’s team will get in the year!

… or you could throw a tantrum, take all your equipment and move to another city … just like the real MLB …

It’s a legit baseball move. If a batter is crowding the plate, especially a good hitter, a pitcher can “dust” him, knocking him on his rump. It’s not like she was headhunting

In the title panel, why would Snoopy run away from a giant baseball?

Do you know what’s worse than a sore loser? It’s a sore winner.

This reminds me of how we saw head injuries before concussion protocols. Just thought the confusion was funny. Live snd learn

Makes one wonder if his team is the worst because half of them can’t play worth a ding-dong or because they’ve been beamed by Peppermint Patty once too often. Snoopy was not crowding the plate, clearly she knew he was about to hit a homer and she was ensuring Charlie Brown’s team couldn’t score.

You know it was a real beaning when the batter’s hat lands upside down on his head . . .

Peppermint Patty needs to get used to degrading experiences. She will warn many a D-minus grade for her schoolwork.

Serves Snoopy right. What kind of self-respecting dog can’t catch a ball?
