I was just saying how much I missed the old times of my youth when the comic strips were filled with jokes about Infanticide. This one takes me back to those good, old days. Thanks, Lynn Johnston.

It’s a good thing she isn’t an ugly sleeper, otherwise it’s the orphanage!

We lost my younger bro to cancer a few years ago, and his three kids have great memories of him. I do, too, but also remember the days when his kids were infants, and wouldn’t sleep through the night. I remember him telling me that ’it’s a good thing kids are so cute, or they’d never survive night times!’ I never expected him to clobber them for crying all night, but I understood how frustrated he was, going off to work each day after a sleepless night…

With babies it’s not just a question of how to get them to sleep, but how to get them to sleep for as long as you can.;-D

Then they become teenagers, and it isn’t until they hit the age of somewhere around 25 when you can talk to them again without them being so dang tedious and frustrating..

One theory says that the reason infants have such big eyes is so the parents won’t kill them.

Save some of that patience for her teens.

If it weren’t for cuteness, where would we be?

I wonder did Ellie do all this with Elizabeth and Michael? It seems like she’s making a mountain out of a molehill by not letting April be alone for awhile instead of catering to her all the time. April seems old enough now to learn this.

I hope they are taking precautions to make sure they do NOT have any more kids. Elly really does not want any more.

WOW. The child-hating around here is pervasive. Plus the negativity towards teenagers. And how anyone could not see the problem with the attitude of the strip, especially the last panel, is beyond me. Try being in the shoes (or footsie pajamas, in this case) of the child. (Especially one who cannot help her needs and feelings – in other words, who CANNOT HELP BEING A CHILD.) How would you feel about being thought of and/or treated that way?

And my comment also is important for https://www.gocomics.com/forbetterorforworse/2011/07/03, especially the last three panels.
