Varvel listens to Fox and other tight wing liars too much. It has already been repeatedly explained (including by Texas power grid managers) Wind and solar only account for 13% of Texas’ source of power and that much of the problem was from frozen controls of coal and nuclear plants. Varvel never lets truth get in the way of a good (or even mediocre) rant.
I knew the right-wing cartoonists were going to regurgitate the BS that the Republican politicians and Faux News pushed that Green energy was to blame for the power outages in Texas. Their heads would explode if they bothered to look for the truth. So, let’s start with the facts:
88% of electric power in Texas is provided by natural gas and coal power; 7% by wind. The remainder by solar or nuclear. As this article in the Texas Tribune succinctly puts it: “Texas is a gas state…”
Shortly after the Tsar was overthrown in the 1917 Russian Revolution, the newly created Soviet (Bolsheviks) state in 1923 established an office specifically to disseminate disinformation to undermine efforts by opponents to impeach their ideological propaganda with empirical, fact-based reality.
Gary Varvel would have been a perfect selection for director of that office.
‘Active measures (Russian: активные мероприятия, romanized: aktivnye meropriyatiya) is political warfare conducted by the Soviet or Russian government since the 1920s. It includes offensive programs such as disinformation, propaganda, deception, sabotage, destabilization and espionage. The programs were based on foreign policy priorities of the Soviet Union.123’
Gary Varvel, what a simpleton! They tell him what’s what and like a good little cartoonist, he passes it along. Hitches his little wagon to whatever’s the propaganda of the hour.
AOC has raised $5 million to help out the victims of the storm. She might as well saved herself the trouble; no self-respecting Texan would ever accept that socialist money.
Gary Varvel, you are a stupid idiot. Don’t you know that the earth has a limited amount of fossil fuels, and eventually we will run out? Then what? We need to be developing renewable energy sources NOW!, not after fossil fuels are depleted.

Varvel again demonstrates his skill at LYING.
Seriously, are Trump Disciple cartoonists capable of producing any work without LYING?

Conveniently missing the realization that anyone with a ICE powered car who’s fuel gauge is bordering on “E” is in the same situation.

The next thing is to vote for politicians which prioritize citizens over corporate profits.

Switch to the regular grid. Now that’ll be $374,239.86 for that fillup!
This is why the government regulates utilities.
Who are dumbasses forgot that forgot that lesson?
For goodness sake we learned that in high school!

What would Ole Gary (and, let’s face it, Rethuglicans in general) do if they couldn’t lie?
