MEANWHILE, Beto O’Rourke was calling senior citizens to see if they needed help and AOC (remember her, from NYC) raised $2M to aid Texans. Guess which party cares?
He is reputed, reliably, to be the single most disliked person in the Senate, and not just by (all the) Senators, the Republican and Democrat Representatives uniformly dislike him also.
it’s the facade of rugged independence…we’re tough…we’ll go it alone when their politicians are really saying, sure at the expense of our constituents freezing to death, losing their homes & having no healthcare
I think attacking Cruz about this incident misses the point. In my mind this is another example of the wealthy, the politically connected and otherwise privileged not suffering the consequences of their policy decisions. To demonstrate that regulations of the economy are bad Texas formed their own independent and underfunded power grid. Because of that decision a natural disaster ended up far worse than it had to be. But, the lower classes suffer from the consequences far more than the wealthy and connected. In fact, the family of wealthy and connected Cruz were able to flee the consequences and suffer far less than others. Sure Cruz is a jackass for going to Cancun but the real issue is that once again the wealthy suffer far less from the negative outcomes of lack of regulation, worship of the totally free market and other Republican policy
Ted Cruz and family left their dog home in the cold . . .? Newsmax guest nuts then claim Biden’s rescue dog looks unkept and dirty like a “junkyard dog”. Does this mean the news has gone to the dogs?
Howdy, y’all! I’m a God fearin’, gun lovin’ Texas Republican! Ted Cruz don’t give a lick about us here Texans, but he sure got my vote!! YEEEEEEEEEE HAWWWWWWWWWW!!!
About 15 years ago we needed a second car. My daughters made me buy a Subaru to complement the Volvo we already had. That pattern has stood by until we replaced the last Subaru with a Jaguar I-Pace. The daughters have grown up and I blame them.

Yet Texans won’t vote for the party who actually care about their constituents.

I bet Ted’s not one of the ones who are going to get $10,000+ electric bills from this disaster of a state.

Sung to the tune of “Deep in the Heart of Texas” (full disclosure- I borrowed “fart of Texas” from cartoonist Kevin Necessary):
Ted Cruz ain’t bright, but always “Right” (clap, clap, clap, clap) He is the fart of Texas.
He said goodbye so he could fly (clap, clap, clap, clap) Creep went afar from Texas.
The big buffoon went to Cancun (clap, clap, clap, clap) He is the fart of Texas.
He just came back when press attacked (clap, clap, clap, clap) He isn’t smart for Texas!
