Have seen articles lately about “teaching” different kinds of animals to “do” human pasttimes. Would someone explain to me, please, WHY it is supposed to be a sign of intelligence if an octopus/pig/dog can play human computer games?? Is it a sign of intelligence if humans can “do” animal behaviors? Every species evolves to cope with its environment. . .
My kids hate, loathe, despise, can’t stand, and are intolerant of the electronics time restrictions I put on their TV and devices.
When they’re at their mother’s place they get free reign and spend hours and hours and hours and hours on them – even when it’s 80 degrees and picture perfect.
