It’s like the line from that movie… “I wish I knew how not to acquit you…” – Brokeback Republicans.

So the Borgia — I mean, Trump — Family will still be slipping us their poison potions for a while yet.

Trump will disappear into the swamp called Republican Florida.

In the good old days, Republicans didn’t want to go against Trump because they were afraid of a mean tweet. Now, they (and their families) have to worry about being murdered.

With the active participation of GQP Senators, the U.S. has become the United States of Wadiya, aka the Republic of Bananastan.

At least three of my friends were upset yesterday. “Why?” I asked them.

…THAT’S right Donald….EAT all the chocolates, and leave them a couple of those cheap-ass candies…

The display of cowardice and hypocrisy yesterday was stunning. And loathsome.

Nasty lying republican politicians are afraid their own constituents will kill them if they go against Trump, what a snake nest the dictator loving anti-democracy right wingers have created.

Not guilty does not mean innocent. Just ask OJ Simpson.

I wonder if, for some of them, it isn’t so much loyalty to Trump as it is fear of his supporters taking revenge on them. After what happened Jan. 6, I wouldn’t be surprised if there was some kind of retaliation against the few Republicans who dared to vote for conviction.

Just remember the simple majority found him guilty, the system of requiring more let him off.

As a veteran, I’ve always been proud to fly a flag of the United States of America from my home.

Now I look at it and all I can remember is watching some miscreant using the flag and its pole as a weapon against a Capitol Police officer.

Time will tell, but I reckon he will eventually get his comeuppance (*scum*uppance?) – and I fervently hope it is as harsh and unyielding as his actions on 6 January.

It’s that karma thing, y’know?

He’s not, and never has been, a person who returns value for value received. Even if you enlarge the meaning of “value” to include the kind of things he wants. It seems to be VERY much like a battered spouse “willingly” going back to the beatings etc. Except that it’s also an awful lot like a long scam by a really talented grifter.

The GOP wouldn’t want to kill the “Goose That Laid The Golden Egg” for them, but it’s okay to kill thousands of people by saying Covid-19 is a HOAX ? To keep lying until Trump is found ‘NOT GUILTY’ and THEN say he was BAD is what they call a Profile In Courage. . . /S

So many people fail to see the parallels!!!

They will go down in history for representing a past president and not their constituents.
