Book tour or no book tour? Will the kids be safe? All four of them?

If her novel sells and she gets an advance on the next one Adam will have to do even less work than he does now.

Well, if her book sells, Adam won’t be pressured to take hack jobs just to feed his family, which might just unclog his creative juices and he’ll be able to write a successful novel himself … or not. Of course, two successful writers would not make much of a premise for a comic strip, so we’ll see.

Adam isn’t even being petty over this, he’s smiling in the last panel

This is good news, even if it does threaten his ego

Well darn. I suppose we will never know what happened to Captain Chocolate on the Peanutbutter planet during the Smore Wars.

With all the freelance stuff he does, changing tone and ideas everyother week or so no wonder poor Adam can’t come up with anything original and enjoy it.

@ ChaosandMayhem from about 11 hours ago “She works in a book store.”

(Wanted to start a new thread.) For some reason your comment suddenly reminded me of a sitcom episode (trying to remember which sitcom) where the woman writes a children’s book, her family and friends love it, goes all the way to a publisher where they finally find out it’s a copy of an already published children’s book from years ago that her mother use to read to her as a child.

My memory from about 15 years ago is that about 90% of the books publishers pick are non-fiction. 95% of the books submitted for publication are fiction. The odds are not great for novelists.

I guess he’ll just have to wait until the next blue moon to get to writing.
