Not guilty on account of I’m afraid of not getting reelected.

If this were a normal trail, Trump could be charged with intimidating the jurors.

According to a poll in the last couple of days, 56% of people overall want Trump convicted. 88% of Republicans want him acquitted. So acquit Trump and you will at least win the primary election. Then backpedal as hard as you can to try to win the general election.

Damned if you do, damned if you don’t. It’s a wonderful time to be a Republican.

If he isn’t impeached because he is no longer president, he should at least be charged the same as any other individual who actively incites violent insurrection against and overthrow of a duly elected government assembly. That’s a crime, regardless of the position of the individual and deserves prison time. His words put lives in danger – on both sides – caused property damage and death, and desecration of the US flag and capitol building.

How human. republikans ignore the laws, when they’re inconvenient. And then quote them, when they want to.

    Same as it ever was.

A sure thing because what you are really betting on is the lack of integrity in the Republican Party!

He needs to be tried in a regular court of law and convicted of treason, but how to separate the trumpers from the honest jury would be a problem!

The “fix” is in.. they hope. Their cheating fell short on the election but it could be a different story with the justice system as there are less jurors to bribe or intimidate.

My Senators are Tammy Baldwin and Ron Johnson. While I could have a conversation with Ms. Baldwin, Mr. Johnson has shown that he is in Trump’s pocket. A communication from me would do absolutely no good.

The most useful thing coming out of Trump’s second Senate impeachment trial: seeing which Senators fight FOR the Constitution and Democracy, and which Senators fight the Constitution and Democracy…

Most Republicons that are hiding under their desks are going with “it’s unconstitutional” to impeach since Rump is out of office. The last thing they want is a vote on the record, yes or no to impeach. They know Trump is guilty. They hope The “un” thing will keep them off the hook.

Easy to ‘beat’ the constitution after it has already been shredded.

    And the Bookie says:

Will the Senate convict Trump at his impeachment trial? You can bet on that proposition at the United Kingdom-based Betfair sportsbook.

No is a -303 favorite. Yes is a +200 underdog.

Betting favorites are expressed with a minus sign and underdogs are expressed with a plus sign. In this instance, a $303 bet on Trump getting acquitted would win $100 while a $100 wager on Trump getting convicted would pay $200.
