How many gallons of jet fuel consumed by Air Force 1 so Trump could go to Mar-a-lago?
A 747-400 burns 10-11 tons of fuel per hour. One way it is about two hours air time. 20 tons of fuel.
Avgas is roughly 6 lb/gallon, so 40,000 lb/6 ~ 7000 gallons
Now double that to include the return trip.
Then recall that Trump accused Obama of playing golf too often. Yet Trump played at least 2.5 times as much as Obama, and Obama played mostly at local military golf courses.
So yeah, Henry, just indulge yourself in another pizzagate type of lie.
The emissions from a private jet that isn’t used constantly is irrelevant to climate change. It has practically no environmental impact relatively speaking given the limited use.
As for why he can’t fly commercial, there’s many reasons, including the fact that he’d have to fly at specific times that may not align with his schedule. But more importantly at this point, as a prominent Democrat, after the shitshow tRump brought onto this country, he hasn’t had a significant chance of being attacked by crazed tRump supporters. As if any repug cares about climate change. So it’s better to be safe than sorry.
Also, he carbon offsets each time he uses his plane.
