I’d be interested to know what sort of miracle Ted expects from Biden at this point.

What else would you expect from a corporate, moderate, incrementalist Democrat? Would you really expect helping the base at the expense of the donors? I expect a Ferrari to appear in my driveway tomorrow morning with a pre-loaded American Express card with a cool million or two on it.

This would make more sense if it was in reference to Trump’s inaction, and backwards action during the start of the Covid crisis. Blaming Biden for not being able to undo a year plus worth of incompetency of the Trump administration in a few weeks is insane, to say the least.

Republican’s hate the current bill helps actual small businesses and regular people. I’m going to have to assume, until proven otherwise, that they’ve tightened up the language to keep large corporations from stealing money intended for small independent businesses.

You would’ve gotten that Ferrari shortly, but Tramp and his family left for Florida and took the money with them. Bannon kept the $25,000,000 morons donated for the useless wall, and the Turtle’s $1.75 Trillion $ tax cut went to the republican’s wealthy base. You? You might get a Yugo.Whatever you’re smoking—stop it.

You’re way off on this one. Biden is on the right track. The issue is that now they’re no longer running the show tRumplicans “care” about spending. Go back to the depression and FDR to see what worked. Tax breaks and handouts to the 1%ers will not stimulate anything, they’re already doing fine. It’s the working class that will speed up the recovery.

Ted & the leftist idiots are every bit as willing to follow a dictator as any MAGA idiot.

Biden is pushing through a $2 trillion American Rescue Plan & he’ll do it without Republicans, if needed. He can’t do it all through Executive Orders. That’s the way Democracy works.

Of course, Theodore, if it was Bernie occupying what you perceive to be Bernie Sanders’ proper place in American history, all the nation’s ills would have been cured by now, “like a miracle.” Your magical thinking doesn’t help.

I’ve actually been impressed with what Biden has already done, especially considering his past. Bernie Sanders is gearing up the reconciliation proposal that will allow for a simple majority vote. And Manchin is already on-board to vote for the $1.9 trillion. Maybe Biden learned something when Obama stimultus bill was blocked by the Republicans.

Biden was elected president of the United States of America, not the dictator nor emperor nor fuhrer. He is in office about 2 weeks and is reversing as much of tRump’s damaging E.O.s as he can. While doing that Biden is negotiating with congress to get the relief bill passed and in the works, and has finally organized a coordinated and managed attack on COVID-19. And, of course, governing the usual stuff, like national security, foreign affairs, being commander-in-chief, and the like.

Bernie Sanders would have just continued lying as tRump did, just on the other side of the coin.

President Biden is attacking Covid 19 head on as did FDR after Pearl Harbor and progress is being made, notwithstanding Rall’s negativism. FDR had the bombing at Pearl Harbor to unify the nation for war. Biden has the slow trickle of incompetence by Dump and his party’s insanity to spur on the fight against a deadly virus. Joe is fighting apathy and disbelief even from the likes of Rall that should be on his side, not complaining about his lack of any perceived gravitas.

    How about some historical perspective.

FDR et al knew for months beforehand that war with Japan and in Europe were inevitable. Republicans had ham strung efforts that would have strengthened England’s defenses, and would have given Chamberlain a bigger stick to bargain with.

If the South secedes, then the Senate will not be gridlocked, it will be overwhelmingly Democratic. Unfolding the gerrymandering of the last decade cannot be done by the president and certainly not in two weeks. That’s where we need to concentrate our efforts to regain proportionate representation.

Kennedy launching us to strive for the moon was a cold war, political move and a good one at that. Still, the effort took seven years to accomplish, which is amazing in itself.

All in all, good job Uncle Joe. Unless we want to assign dictatorial powers to President Biden I don’t think unraveling 4 years of stupid could have gone any differently.

Interesting how so many people get their dander up at the idea that Biden is not doing enough. Republicans have no problem with pushing their politicians further and further into nutNazi territory, why is it such a problem when some Democrats want to demand better (rather than so much worse, like the Repubs do) from their elected officials?

Over 4 years republicans put the country 13 trillion in debt, we got nothing, they stole the money.

Now republicans are against giving the American people any help at all to dig out from the covid crises the republicans ignored and spread.

Anti democracy election cheating lying Republicans have made themselves into the biggest enemy of the United States.

If only we lived in a fantasy land where the president could snap his fingers and make it so.

The reality is that Pres. Biden has the barest of majorities in the Senate. The Democrats only have a majority in the case of a tie. If one Democrat doesn’t want to vote for a bill, VP Harris’ vote counts for nothing. Biden has to work with what he has, so slow and steady is the way it’s going to have to be.

You might as well accept that reality and stop calling him names.

Biden has been in office for 2 weeks, if there is any hold up its the republicans dragging their feet. Everyone of them voted against the recent relief bill and they were the ones who spread covid. They are totally mentally ill.

Hm, wonder why Ted is using mostly military attacks instead of major economic displacements as his comparisons? COVID-19 isn’t a military attack.

Let’s see…2008: Republicans dicker down the package and do everything they can to stop anything that will help average Americans. Recovery is slowed for political gain.

1929: Republicans refuse to pass any laws or take any action to help average Americans. Recovery has to wait until the next Presidential election. (Wait! That sounds familiar!)

Every crash before that: no one does a damn thing at all.

It’s almost like he’s found a deliberately misleading comparison yet again!

Biden is doing whatever he can to ramp up Covid vaccines and to help people keep their heads above water until we have 70% or more of the population vaccinated against Covid so that we will have herd immunity. We will likely have to take yearly Covid shots, like we currently do for the flu, which I’m OK with. Only when we bring Covid under control, will we be able to jump start the economy and creating good paying jobs. In the meantime, the Dems have a very slim majority in the House and an even slimmer one in the Senate. So they all need to hang tough. And do whatever they can to advance against the GOP until next November’s midterms (when the GOP will be defending twice as many Senate seats as the Dems). If we succeed in bringing Covid under control (which I think we will), I think the Dems have a really good shot at widening their majorities. But we’ll see.

I love many of your cartoons but truly this one makes no sense whatsoever. Since it is and for the last year always has been the Republicans who have held back the federal response. After his meeting with Senate Republicans pushing their paltry plan, Biden told the Senate Democrats to “go big.” What exactly are you trying to say? I’m serious! What on Earth are you trying to say?
