Hey kid! Are there any old-fashioned hobby shops nearby? Model kits of cars, planes, ships, space travelers (Star Wars & Star Trek), tanks? Get a model train set and get your father to help you set up a piece of plywood in the basement and build your small-America town with the train running through it. How about a telescope to view the Moon, the planets and galaxies! How about a beginner’s kit of the USS Constitution (Old Ironsides)? Lots of fun for hours! . .( Well, I guess I showed all my fellow readers/posters just how old I am!)
Me thinks a lot of the Reddit investor team may very likely win their lawsuits. If trading had been stopped for all traders, they wouldn’t have stood a chance. By limiting the trading stop for only certain people, yeah, methinks stinks and will allow many of these suits to go ahead and very likely be successful. Sadly, won’t likely make them the money they could have made, but hopefully can keep them from losing it all.
As for Game Stop, I used to deliver to one store regularly years ago. Both the people that worked there and the customers were nicer than most places. I wish them luck in being able to continue in the online world competing with the monster Amazon, which is trying to create a global monopoly like no other. However, watching Amazon’s business model, if they can’t crush a company, they will eventually buy it out.
Apparently there is not enough to do in Congress (or could it be that future potential $$$ contributions talk loudly) as legislators now start to investigate and mobilize to put an end to this mob intrusion*…on Wall Street.
There’s a “quote” from the movie, Rising Sun (but I can’t remember it verbatim, I don’t think), so, to paraphrase, “He cheated me, but I cheated him better”…(or it might be “double-crossed”, instead of “cheated”, if that really matters!).
