Good point. If Schumer isn’t going to get rid of the filibuster, then he needs to get McTurtle to support a new bill that puts the filibuster permanently in place, so that if GOP were to take over the Senate they can’t get rid of it either. Because they can’t be trusted otherwise.
I honestly can’t see why Schumer wouldn’t want to eliminate the 60-vote requirement…my only glimmer is if he sincerely believes Republicans will retake the Senate in two years, except, if the 60 threshold is gone, the filibuster could easily be voted back in if that looked imminent, underhanded though that might be.
Where did these people learn their left politics? Straight out of the failed Fabian playbook. If you want to dabble in the center, form your own center party, don’t hang on the coat tails of established left parties.
“Jeanne Shaheen ~ D-Boston Suburbs”!!! WTF?!?!? Man you just p-o’d a lot of people here in New Hampshire… who affectionately refer to our neighbors to the South as “Massholes”.

An appropriate reminder that many of the Dem’s in DC are merely “Rethugican-lite”.

Poor McFaddy just can’t abide those that disagree with him. The pragmatic caucus cares not what he thinks.
