Snoopy hasn’t figured it out like my dog and cat did. You have to convince your human to feed you at BOTH times.

If Peanuts took place in either Hawaii or Arizona, this problem of Snoopy wouldn’t exist.

This is kind of a puzzling comic to be published in March, 1974. I thought that the United States had a trial yearlong DST in the year 1974, beginning on January 9th 1974? So what was Schulz thinking here? They were already practicing DST for two months.

Wow, Chuck has issues. I get how Chuck probably feels the need to cherish any “good” moment in his life as he has so few (like his baseball team only wins when he does not play, Lucy jakes him with the football every time, the neighbors despise him and give him rocks every Halloween, most of his peers think he is a huge “blockhead” etc) but this is a bit over the top Chuck, just give the dog his ****ing food before Snoopy rats you out for animal abuse.

Is this the happiest Charlie Brown ever appears in the strip? Well, later when he hits his one and only home run but I think that’s about 30 years in the future. Cut the kid some slack, he has too few moments like this.

Daylight savings time was a marginally stupid idea when it was invented, and it’s completely stupid and pointless today. I don’t know why Congress bothers with other pointless bills when they need to prioritize making DST illegal.

I’ve seen plenty of Peanuts strips where Charlie Brown brings dinner to Snoopy without Snoopy asking him for it. The only reason he didn’t do it today was to taunt Snoopy, which is just mean.

When my beloved cat, Bam, was still alive, I kept him on his expected schedule regardless of DST. I used to joke that I operated on Pacific Bam Time.

Whatever happened to common sense?  about 3 years ago

Daylight Savings Time is an antiquated practice that should have been abolished decades ago. It does not save energy, or help the farmers, or accomplish any of the other myths that continue to circulate.

Standard Time is the true time, with noon recorded when the Sun appears highest in the sky. DST is bogus time. When people mess with their clocks every springtime they are merely getting up one hour earlier. This creates the illusion of a “longer day” and people continue to fall for it. The government has done a great brainwashing job.

Congress is responsible for this nonsense. Contact them and tell them to put a stop to this pointless practice.

Clocks that run on batteries will usually drift over the coarse of year so DST is an opportunity to tweak to the exact time. Clocks locked to the power frequency will stop during a power failure.
