No, Lisa. It’s the republicans who shout that at anyone who doesn’t bow to them. The Democrats and Independents try to meet the republicans in the middle while the the extreme right keeps backing away.

The part that Lisa leaves out is that the Democrats are telling Republicans “Sit down and shut up unless you have something of factual or truthful you’d care to say."

And Republicans, having been on a strict alt-fact diet for so long respond with the sound of crickets.

No reconciliation without at LEAST some show of remorse, and much better if some acts of restitution. A really good first step WOULD be to shut up, at least long enough to draw a breath or two.

Unity is difficult to achieve when the Republican platform is ‘Whatever Trump Wants.’

Many Repubs tried to overturn the election. One of them, Josh Hawkeye, refused to allow a quick confirmation of Biden’s Homeland Security chief because the nominee didn’t “sufficiently explain” his plans for the wall. In other words, Hawley wanted him to blindly back Trump policies.

Sadly I agree with the cartoon that may be the desire path towards unity for many of us. No matter how you look at it each side won the last couple of elections by a slim margin. "Our side one so you need to do what we say!-will not unite us. Less talk and finger pointing. Only do!

Congress needs to review the rules, and since they are in power, rewrite them to give as much power as possible to the Democrats, so they can make as much progress as possible. They can rewrite the rules with each new congress, and there is no reason to buy into the “make nice” & “achieve unity” rhetoric of Republicans who are currently all for letting bygones be bygones and expecting concessions when they have lost all power to bargain. After having lost their majority in the Senate, Republikkkans are desperately trying to cling to power by refusing to accept the rules for conducting the new terms. They want rules that basically keep them in charge.

As usual, Lisa misses a critical distinction. It’s not “The Right” who are being de-platformed, it’s the Qanon cult (specifically the ones who advocate violence).
