Forget the college sweethearts, work hard, save up, and spend that summer bumming around Europe. When it’s safe, of course.

My mom had her first at 17—-me then 2 more before dad had had enough and lit out. But we survived and did okay.

IF I could maintain SOME of the wisdom I FINALLY gained over DECADES instead of being almost gormless and so fecking naïve. I would do it over. I’d want specific memories intact so that I could find my other half earlier than almost 3/4’s of a lifetime later and four emotional, mental and abusive train wrecks later. By the way, I was blessed. I never was bitter. Overly angry (I was far more justified to be angry or turn out psychotic, believe me) or even morose. Yes, IF we could repeat things and change a few things, I’d be sorely tempted. (Even at the expense of missing out on my two children…they’d be someone else! <3 <3 have a great week! )
