I wouldn’t brag too hard there: 7M more votes for the sane guy and it was still enough of a squeaker in the electoral college that enough people made complete idiots of themselves because they though they would just have a quick putsch and keep the old dumpster fire going.
Okay, they weren’t particularly bright people to start with… but still.
I’d prefer an instruction manual written by a more diverse group. Just like new drugs that previously were only tested on white males, the benefits seem to be skewed in their favor…
My great concern is that Trump’s time showed just how fragile a democracy/republic really is. If those in power just ignore the rules / laws, it all falls apart. In many ways the Republican party became the party of destruction of the rule of law by not defending and pushing back.
