Roger, he just told you you’ve been grossly underpaid. Look for a job elsewhere.

Truly his business skills are flawed if someone says “you could be making six times what you were making but you’re gonna take a pay cut if you want your job back”.

Ah, the late ’90’s. When a dolt who crashes computers by looking at them funny could be considered a valuable asset.

He just told you that you can ask for five times what you were making and probably settle for four times as much. Don’t give in too easily. Make him work at it to get you to lower your ask a little bit.

I guess he isn’t in the financial industry.

What a negotiator, he is told he’s worth 6 times more than they are paying him and he settles for a pay cut. Sounds like the Biden team negotiating with the Chinese.

He needs to put his resume out there and find one of those “six times what we’re paying you” jobs.

I got laid off from a job once. They offered me the same position with the same pay in the Los Angeles office where the cost of living was about 50% higher.

The boss just told him that he’s severely underpaid and he offers to take a pay cut???

Poor Roger. He’s a bigger loser than I even imagined him to be. I’ve never quit a job and went back to it. It’s pointless.

In today’s job market, Roger wouldn’t even get rehired because he’s old, has health risks, and they can hire a new grad for 1/10th of what they’re worth.

For a minute there, I thought I was reading “The Born Loser!” He blew a golden opportunity to negotiate.

The manager may actually force him to take a pay raise, just to make sure he doesn’t get away.

Wait! Is the ability to crash the company’s network servers several times a week a highly desirable skill? I’ve been going about this work thing all wrong.
