To be sure, there are legitimate career coaches who will train you on HOW to search for a job. Also, you can probably find these for free through local charitable groups. I know of three in my area: two that happen to work though churches (no, they don’t try to convert you). Also ask you local Goodwill in your area. Some provide training, some know of these kinds of groups.
