Southern Calif is Benson’s traditional right wing strong hold.

Every northern Californian hated that place.

Look what your dictator god Trump has done to it.

Among the other massive distortions in this, the latest from a fascist sympathizer, is that California is the most populous state in the nation, and has a massive amount of highways, freeways, etc. that all require maintenance – not to mention the ongoing construction of new highways as the state grows. Ya gotta pay for that somehow, and a gasoline tax makes the most sense – taxing those who drive the most.

LOL, conservatives are back to their tired old fear-spreading of what they claim Democrats will do to the U.S. economy… all while ignoring what “W” Bush did to the economy, as well as The Donald’s economic mess due to his weak pandemic response…

It is actually rather nice. I liked it better when I could afford housing though. About 40 years ago.

California has the 5th largest economy in the world. Lisa is jealous, I guess, and roots for the moocher states.

Oh for goodness sake, the tanking of oil prices (see what I did there?) has everything to do with the glut of crude oil due to the pandemic. Lockdowns, people not commuting to work, etc. are the main cause. Now that production is starting up again, prices will go up.

Geez, isn’t the basic economic concept of supply and demand supposedly the cornerstone of the Republican’s dream of an open market? I guess not when you’re trying to feed propaganda to those undereducated lemmings that comprise the Republican voter base these days.

Why is everybody jumping on poor old Lisa’s dried up body? She is just trying to make an easy buck the Rupert Murdoch way as Faux News does for him.

Feed them garbage and if they will pay you then feed them more.

I lived in California for a few years when my husband was stationed there. I loved the weather where, even in the summer, I had to wear a sweater, and where it cooled down every night. When we moved back to my native state of Texas, I had to give up that wonderful weather for almost unrelenting heat for about six months out of the year. I wonder if anyone who has lived in California and wants to move to Texas, knows what kind of heat they’re going to have to deal with. Oh, and if they choose to live on the Gulf Coast, they’ll have to put up with horrible humidity and the threat of hurricanes. In spite of all that, I love my state, but anyone who moves here needs to know what they’re getting into.

Right wingers LOVE to hate California because it’s pretty much everything that’s wrong with the world… and yet they are doing so well, generally. The way that Lisa and others deal with this is by picking nits:

High priced gasoline is awful. Lower air pollution? Not an issue for them.

Electric blackouts are awful. Reduced danger of wildfires? Not an issue. (PS: This one actually is the fault of unbridled capitalism: The electric companies have failed for decades to maintain their transmission lines)

Closed businesses? Awful. Not killing people by inviting them into enclosed proximity? Not an issue.

Couple of companies moving to Texas to avoid CA regulation? Awful. The fact that those regulations increase the quality of life for people? Not an issue.

Good call, Lisa . . . California went from a paradise to purgatory in the short space of 40 years. And San Francisco is now the state’s anus. Hopefully the liberals wont be bringing their baggage with them when they move because they can’t afford the place anymore. They shit in their own nest . . . and now they want to move ? ? ?

If only. California is 13+ percent of the US economy and: If California were a sovereign nation (2019), it would rank as the world’s fifth largest economy , ahead of India and behind Germany. Wake up and smell reality Ms. Benson.
