Mr. Nixon’s crimes pale in the light of what Trump has done. It’s important that future generations understand that presidents are not above the law. It’s time to follow the Constitution.

I’d like to think the Senators will do their job of upholding the Constitution this time, but I seriously doubt it.

That horse is no where near dead enough yet. Once again, the same cult that has been screaming about Benghazi and emails for years (and supported a 20 year war in response to an attack) thinks we should just move on from terrorist attacks on the American Capitol.

If trump and his cultists walk away from yet another crime, they will just continue to commit them, knowing there will not be consequences.

Punish them hard and without mercy. Teach them that actions have consequences. Never let them forget what they have done.

Trump is not a dead horse. And something more metaphorically powerful than a whip will be needed to mitigate the existential threat Trump and his followers pose to the United States. We must remain vigilant against the damage they can and will do when the opportunities arise.

How did we go from stop the steal to beating a dead horse? Where’s the part where you admit you were wrong? Or is your admission one of those where you say we were all wrong? No Varvel. You don’t get to pretend you weren’t part of this attack on the capitol.

In the movie “Zombieland” the protagonist had rules. One was “the double tap”. Always make sure a zombie is finished.

Seems like a good rule here.

Mr. Varvel, you’re slipping. You may be trying to defend Fearless Leader, but all he’s going to see is that you’re calling him a dead horse. If he actually reads anything, you’d have a hard time staying in his good graces, but you’re lucky that he doesn’t.

That horse ain’t dead yet. Impeachment shows us two things: first, it shows what a ratbag tRump is/was; second it allows the public to see who the sycophants and hypocrites are who fail to convict the ratbag. Those self termed ‘defenders of the Constitution’ who fail to defend the Constitution.

He’s not dead, unless they can keep him from holding office again. And even then, its tough to sort what his influence will be given the absolute lunacy of the current manifestation of the GOP. I’m not a person that prays, but if you are now would be good time.

Varvel’s pointing out that in his opinion, impeaching The Mistake in the last week of his “reign” is whipping a dead horse. Pelosi, though, wants to see to it that he can never again serve in office.

This analogy: My roomy has been stealing from me and killed my cat, and I finally have proof. But he’s moving out at the end of the month. Should I still report him to the cops even though he’ll be gone by the time they finish the investigation?

The murderous right wing mob wanted to kill Pelosi, why should she cooperate with seditious Benedict Arnold Trump? Its personal now. One of Trump’s Traitor Terrorists who broke into the Capitol stole Pelosi’s lap top and tried to sell it to the Russians. The disrespectful right wing thief is being sought by the FBI now.

Taking murderous covid spreader Trumps Tweeter away is a slap on the wrist, he should be in prison.
