Teachers still aren’t eligible for the vaccine here yet. Kids can’t get vaccinated, as the vaccine hasn’t been tested on kids. But that’s ok, they say. Kids don’t typically get very sick, they only carry the bug and transmit it to others. Despite all that, it’s been declared that the schools must be open and taught in person, though. Well, kinda. The middle school a couple of blocks from here just had to go into a 14-day quarantine after four teachers got sick and tested positive. There would probably be more positive tests than that if they tested everyone regularly, but tests are only given once someone is symptomatic.
As a 59 year old man, not working in an essential capacity and with no health compromising conditions, I’m betting herd immunity will be achieved before I can even que up.

I’ve still not gotten mine… I hope they’ll announce grocery store workers soon.

I am 70+. So far I am very disappointed. A Cluster f**k of military proportions. And the websites? Good luck.

I work in a grocery store likeTemplo, and I haven’t heard anything about when we are getting ours either
I am less concerned since I went back to night crew
There are a lot fewer people in the store at night, we all wear masks and stock separate aisles

Huh. I didn’t think “brutally handsome Activists” and “cartoonists” fit together very well.

Got my first shot yesterday. Sometimes, being a first responder has some benefits……other times, not so much.
